Still catching up...I was out of town from Thursday until last night...spent time at 5 different houses (more on all of that later). It's good to be home. I've been sitting at the computer for a full hour and a half (because I didn't really have much internet access all weekend), still wearing my coat, hat, and boots. I'm shiiiiivvvvering. So...Christmas Eve...there was a lot of this...
and that...
and ornament making...

And that night we had our annual Scavenger Hunt. Read about last year's scavenger hunt here. I take about 25 pictures of things around the house (up close so they have to figure out what the picture is) and print them out (sometimes recycle a few from previous years, ones they have forgotten). I write rhyming clues on the back of each one and hide them all over the house, one clue leading them to the next. This is one of their favorite activities OF THE YEAR. They run around excitedly, all three of them together, which is adorable and fun to watch. Here are a few examples:

I always scatter a few in there that are a little easier for whoever is the youngest - like Sissy this year and put her name on it so the boys let her do it by herself. It's cute to see her face recognize the picture location and her little legs take off in that direction.
Always a fun time at the Lay house.
